Festival Spot

Rushdown have been asked to open the Ashbourne Arts Festival Concert on Saturday the 26th of July. Last I heard they had sold about 500 tickets. All bands on the bill have had their music played on the new Ahsbourne Radio station.

What this means is that our song 'I Can't Go On' has gotten it's first bit of radio play! We are also looking forward to rocking another festival crowd. It has been too long.

In other news we are playing a gig in Tamworth at Yates's on the 2nd of July. (NOTE: this is a new date!!)

I Can't Go On

We are recording this weekend and we are hoping this song turns out as awesome as we think it will. We are putting almost two full days into getting the recording right. We will then send it off to at least two places for demo masters. If you know of anyone let us know. Anyway, we will get this one done for free (at most places) and whichever master is best (or gives us the sound we want) will get our future business.

I tell you what I can't wait to hear this song recorded properly. Keep listening for updates!

Palace Gig

I know we keep talking about it and rescheduling it, but it is here. Saturday the 14th of July we are going to warm up the house for a huge AD/DC tribute band. It is going to be an awesome night. I hope we see you there.

RushDown is back!

After taking the winter out to write a few new songs and generally improve the band, we are back and ready to go.

The biggest news is that Scott (previously of Unit 36) has permanently joined the band. He brought new sounds and feeling to the band when he was helping us out last year. You have to hear what Scott is doing for us now!

We have a few gigs coming up, but if you want to see RushDown just once in the newxt couple of months you have to come see us play at the new Palace in Tamworth. the sounds system in this place rocks and with the new refurbishment and the huge stage this place is set to bring the Rock back to Tamworth.

News Update

Site up and down: We have had some trouble over the last few days with the site going up and down. This should be just about fixed.

Record label try out: Come along! On May 3rd at the Irish Centre in Digbeth (near Bull Ring, Birmingham) we will be performing in a semi-Battle of the Bands. We do not care too much if we go through though as we are just trying to impress as many people as possible. We will also be playing new music that nobody has yet heard outside of practice! Get tickets from band members.

Recording and new song: We are booked into the Priory Studios on April 8th and 9th and should come out with 1 to 3 new songs that will be mixed for radio and mastered. This is in preparation for releasing our own mini-album and pushing it to radio stations. This new music is like nothing you have heard from RushDown before so if you have any suggestions for places to submit our music (on and off-line) please let us know!
